Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

Honest trailers, Cinema Sins and HISHE are three very different things. I like them all for what they are. :)

I never said they are the same, just not a fan of the nitpicking on CS. Prefer HT for all the movie mocking.

Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is out!

Can anyone confirm whether the movie is running in IMAX HFR 3D at PVR Koramangala, Banagalore? Or is it just normal 3D?

You can choose The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (IMAX 3D) from bookmyshow and they only display PVR Koramangla. Hope that answers your question.

watched Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug. Rated 6.5/10. IMO movie was kinda slow. And ending though wasn't much of a cliffhanger, still I felt awkward for a movie.

And "finally" watched
  • The Godfather - I had started it 3/4 times before. but didn't proceed beyond 30 mins or so. Anyway, this weekend I had watched it - and I'm li'l disappointed. Pardon me if it sounds blasphemous, but I wouldn't put it in imdb's top #2. I would rather rate it as a 7 pointer. (gotta watch #2 and #3)
  • Million Dollar Baby - damn how could I missed this so long. A 10/10 movie for me.
Also watched
  • In Bruges - a decent watch. 7/10.

It's ok to not like something old. It might be great when it came out but the other movies have had over 30 years to improve all aspects of film making and when you watch the original work that inspired the changes it more than often feels underwhelming.
For me it's Star Wars because there are so many other sci-fi movies that i have seen before i watched the original that i can't stay awake or be interested in it for more than 5 mins.

I know many people like that.... I know people who seen Godfather who doesn't know who is Mario Puzo.. or even who is Marlon Brando. So its not a big deal.

Nothing to be surprised or be so OMGed about that.

I think it's not that light, if someone doesn't know who Puzo or Brando or Pacino is why watch the film? I don't know maybe people expect a 'love story' from those movies or what, or some GUI effect? I don't care what anyone thinks about a movie to be honest, but really, Godfather, Shawsank, Schindler's List and all those movies, they are masterpieces, and one can watch a movie like these once or twice in a lifetime, if you don't like them then what's left there to like? Chennai Express? Ra One? This is not a Samsung vs Apple thing that you can keep arguing! There is a certain degree to everything.
