buy the sony if

1) you need the headphones to be silent- the philips being open back leaks sound like anything - not suited for the office

2) you like bass. Nothing else you can get for <2k can give as much bass as these babies can. I used to think they were a bit over the top, but love them now

buy the philips if you

want clarity the most - the detail and sound quality is better
 
From better to worse 1>3>2 . Have personally heard the philips and panasonic and the panasonic is the comfier one out of the two but lacks the punchy bass of the philips. Also look around for the Sennheiser HD 201's...
 
+1 to Sennheiser HD 201. It is available at the apple store for around 1700Rs(MRP). Street price should be 1300-1400 Rs.
 
^^ Its available in Croma stores for 1.3k. I heard it and the sound was decent. But doesn't have any thump in the bass, so bassheads please avoid.
