The Razer Goliathus Fragged Omega Mouse Pad has textured surface to give user more control and accuracy with mouse,the other speed ver is built with glossy surface for smoother experience which gives maximum slide,grip and to use max of sensitivity of the mouse.

Could be subjective, though I've seen FPS players usually prefer Goliathus Speed / Smooth surfaces (including me)
 
Bumping an old thread im a mx 518 user looking for a good mouse pad and i wanted to know which would be well suited for my mouse i use Photoshop a lot and play fps mostly so want speed and control with my mousepad currently using a cheap local mousepad but i cant seem to get proper precision when it comes to aiming or edting in photoshop
