Razer Krait 1600DPI Optical Gaming Mouse Review

A OT Story First:

I was a very lame beginner in mice, I had a lame Rs.300 Logitech 200dpi Optical Mouse till January, 2005 then one day I got frustrated & got a Basic 400dpi Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse & the first day I said nothing & accepted it, :) but after a month the cons started to come out :@ like Battery Probs, Signal Probs & the weight of the mouse was a killer :no: but still I used it till November, 2005.

Then one fine day when I got Rs.1000 from my aunt I got a bump on my head & made a thread on TE named Gaming Mouse and after Funky & a few other TE members suggestions I got the Mini Version of iBall Laser Precise (as my hands are tiny) at first it was a tiny & light but when I tried to click the buttons they turned out to be hard :@ thus I modded the mouse & made it compatible with my hand & sacrificed the scroll wheel, but again life & god won't let me live peacefully :no: and when I got Black & White 2 in June, 2006 I realized it was not easy to play without the scroll wheel so i got totally frustrated :@ and I started looking for a gaming mouse this time with comfort for my hands in my mind thus my eyes went on Razer (due to the sick & bulky designs of Logitech, Microsoft & Genius) so I went to Razer Store there the prices of the Razer Copperhead & Razer Diamondback gave me a shock :O but when I scrolled down I saw the Razer Krait with a price tag of $40+$10 shipping charges only & it was same as the Razer Diamondback internally & Razer Viper externally so I ordered it after my queries got solved on TE by Aditya, saumilsingh & Chaos.

Now after I have got it my friends have forced me to write a review of it.

So here is a Review of my Razer Krait.

First Thoughts:

At first look I fell in love with the Razer Krait.

The mouse has a non glossy black black colored finish on the top with rubber grips on each sides & two huge buttons made of rubber & a glowing scroll wheel iin the middle with three teflon feet at the bottom.

Anyways plugged in the mouse and it got detected instantly.

The mouse is nice and smooth.

Gaming:

This is a 1600DPI Optical Mouse but it is actually more accurate & precise than my previous iBall Laser Precise 1600DPI Laser Mouse :ohyeah:

The only game I played with this Mouse till now is Far Cry & I got astonished by the Precision of my mouse :O now headshots have become so easy :D

Ergonomics:

Finally comes the ergonomics of the mouse which is the most important thing for me because of my hands.

Comfort wise even after a good few hours of frantic gaming & typing the mouse remained comfortable in my hand.

It is a ambidextrous designed, sized same as a normal mouse, very comfortable & a very ergonomic mouse.

It weighs only 80 grams & it's two main buttons are very easy to click.

The only con in ergonomics is the middle button which is very hard to click.

Final Conclusion:

I give this mouse 5/5 considering its price to performance ratio.

Otherwise it would score around 4.5.

Pros:

03) Very good ergonomics

04) Light weight

05) Slick & Sexy

06) Teflon Feet

07) High Precision

08) Easy to click buttons

09) Ambidextrous Design

10) Works perfectly with a Rs.25 Mousepad

11) Does the job extremely well

Cons:

01) Very Hard to click Middle Button

02) Wire should be 9 foot long

I payed $40+$10 shipping charges for this & ordered from Razer Store

Anyways Udit nice precise review(repped ya )....but I am a bit sceptical abt the ergonomics of the Krait as it doesn't seem to be very good. Any more comments on that.

the ergonomics of the Krait are very good don't say without using it please.

yes the Razer Krait is for small to medium sized hands.

personal choice of the user matters too as small to medium sized hand people who like light weight mice will just love the Razer Krait.
 
The Diamondback/Krait is very ergonomic... been using one for the last year, but switching back to an MX310 in a week or so :P

Btw, nice review Udit... I know you hate reviews so good job with this.
