From previous reports, we were already well aware that Razer was working on a gaming tablet. So what? You must be thinking that there are already many of such products. Well, Razer wants to bring Windows (x86) gaming, into handheld. There will be serious implications on power and battery life, not to mention the weight and cost of the device itself. Well, Razer still wants to go ahead with such a product. Let's see what they have in store for us then.
Project Fiona
Project Fiona aims to out a tablet meant for Windows gamers on the go. The tablet will have dual sided controllers for playing all games (we hope that we can connect a keyboard and mouse to it, so we can get some CS action going when we feel like). The tablet will run on Microsoft's Windows (x86) 8 OS. The primary aim of this tablet is to enable portable gaming of desktop titles.
The proposed specifications by Razer are as follows:
The thickness of the tablet isn't our primary concern. The weight on the other hand will be about 1 KG, hardly a portable tablet it seems. Considering gaming tablets cost upwards of $1,499, this is indeed shaping up to be a pretty good product. Let's see if it gets more people excited.
