Folks,

On friday, a colleague of me had asked Reliance folks to visit him for a demo. During demo speedtest revealed interesting facts:

1. During connecting it did connect at 3.1 Mbps.
2. Speed test with a mumbai based server revealed speed of about 1.7 Mbps.
3. Speed test with Seattle based server revealed the real speed and it clocked at Max: 700kbps. Considering max of internet is served from US, this is the speed I am going to go with.

Any other folks who had similar observation? BTW There tariff sucks big time. Mine colleague has now turned to BSNL.

I guess the only other decent alternative at the moment is Tata Photon+ but their plans are identical to Reliance.

Kbps, not KBps? That's not so hot, then, is it, considering that fixed 1Mbps is a fair bit cheaper. Unless you really need the bandwidth while on the move, I'd consider it needlessly expensive. 10GB for 3K/mo is terrible.
