Really weird downloading problem

I had a free account with MU and converted it to premium account.
When I download a bunch of files one at a time (have just 2Mb connection) using any download manager, I notice that first file downloads at 200KBps, 2nd at around 80-90KBps and 3rd file onwards speed falls down to 8-10KBps. Its so frustrating now.

I have tried jdownloader, flashget classic, FDM, Megamanager to download. Same thing happens. Its like my speeds are getting throttled from MU even though I have premium ac there. I tried changing download port to 80, 800, 1723. But no change in speed behavior.

I tried downloading from other sites like rapidshare when download falls on MU, and I can download at >100KBps so ISP is not throttling my speeds. Is it because I converted free ac to premium that this is happening?

At my wits end now.

previously with the free account, i could download any file at full speeds, but only had to wait for 25sec when logged in.

I used JDownloader for downloading through MU without a Premium account. I get high speeds all the time.
Can you test now with a free account that u dont face the same problem? Because if you dont then you can send a mail to them and check it out. Other than that i dont see how the speed Drop could be affected by a dOwnload manager or ports.

Else Maybe you could ask them to create a New Premium account for you based on the previous ones validity.

Best bet is to contact them.

made a free account. can test during 2am onwards only. will see tonight whats the result.

edit: an update - no change. without doing any browsing, i still get the same crappy speeds of 10-15 Kb. I think some free dns out of the 6-7 i had in list might be culprit. changed dns settings, but didn't try after that. got fed up and put utorrent to work.
