Laptops Recommend a Lappy

Hi guys

I am planning to purchase a laptop :budget around 60 K
Specifications : Not less than 1 gb ram,2MHz precessor 160 Gb hDD .DVD recordable ,Vista home , good sound card

USE- mainly studies and occasionally watching movies

I am aware of DELL PRODUCTS discussed here, want to know about Toshiba and Sony vis-a-vis DELL
Please suggest.

hmm get dell inspiron 1520 if u can wait ..or even a dell inspiron 1720 if u want to watch movies and all...

but expect a waiting period of 2 week for da delivery of laptop..

DELL is total value for money...

ucan even look for Sony Vaio ..but i feel that there laptops ..are priced on the higher side..what u get for 70 k in Sony is like 1gb ram ,160 gb hdd..etc.

but for a lesser price u get 2gb ram,250gb hdd..and other stuff in DELL..

just my opinion..u may go for Sony or toshiba if u need it urgently ..and are satisfied with 1gb RAM in 70k..
 
For this less usage, even a 33k laptop from any major vendor will be good...jus go and try some from local shops...

remember to get 1gb ram..
