Guys recommend front load washing machine brands/ model 8-9Kg

I am confused between LG And Bosch

have heard bosch has drum issues is it true?

everyone please share your respective reviews

@blr_p if you can help

Had a Samsung front load which constantly gave issues. I would suggest sticking to conventional washing machines if no special use case for fully automatic ones.

samsung is known for issues in washing machines I had a top load from them and I had to get the PCB changed twice

What's wrong with your current Bosch Series 8?

LG does not have sealed tubs so future maintenance will be cheaper.

Any machine can develop drum issues if not cared for. LG has a slight edge here with a stronger drum support.

What problems did you have with it?

Front loaders clean better than top loaders. I see no reason to recommend the latter any longer

mine series 8 is working perfectly, I need one for my sister's new home

dont know much about kolkata water but assume the TDS Of a place near sea and using borewell water
That's hard water then. Better to check the hardness periodically as this will have a bearing on descale frequency. Amazon sells total hardness kits. Don't use TDS as that doesn't measure water hardness.

Near sea brings it's own hassles which others can better comment but it will shorten life due to corrosion.

Go for a simple model without recirculating pumps. The cottons cycle will be standard 2-3h for a full load.

Base model (non AI)

Step up with AI (preferable as it has a better UI) but no Wifi

AI with Wifi

From there on models come with wifi and recirculating pumps.

All these models come with touch screen panels. Same with other brands.

If humidity is high these touchpanels develop problems around five years or sooner compared to older push button controls which you won't find any more in recent models of any brand these days. It can be fixed so ensure LG service is available.

If the machine is kept in a place where it could get splashed then it's better to get a cover
