I use Philips Sonicare... it's too good. it follows our natural hand-brushing style and the bristles don't rotate. it has several options as well. i've been using it for the last 4 years and it's still going great. i use ProResults brush head with it. the best thing about it is its super easy charging base.

perhaps you are not aware of the fact that electric toothbrushes use changeable brush heads (ProResults???).
and perhaps you don't know that changeable brush heads allow whole family to use the same toothbrush! just need to attach your color-coded brush head.

I had those 30 sec smile thingy. they sucked and didn't worked as advertised. gone bust in 8 months. I rather stick to old method

What are the advantages of electric toothbrush ? Is it like what we do manually is done automatically.
For lazy people or something like that ?

for quite a long time, i used to think that it's meant for lazy people. but when i tried it, i found that it's much more efficient than hand brushing. of course, a lot depends on the type of toothbrush being used - electric or non-electric.

Is it recommended to use electric ones if you wear braces?
i've no idea. you should consult with a dentist. there could be a braces friendly electric toothbrush as there are so many types of them. each one works differently than the other. mine has a soft clean feature which may work for braces.

Edit: sonicare website confirms that their brush can be used with braces:
