PC Peripherals Recommend me an inkjet printer and a Laser Printer

dont even think about a inkjet in that range - 2 - 3k inkjets haves a lot of trouble , like paper jam , slow speeds , high costs and their paper trays are also not of good for many pages at the same time.
get in the HP laser jet's B/W for the lawyers office will work fine. there is the base model which floats around the 5 - 5.5k mark should work fine. and if u print a lot and lot of stuff like many lawyers do , u will soon need a even better printer , i have seen this happening so am telling you . but no no for a inkjet in the lower price bracket

For the basic inkjet printer, I'd suggest an HP Deskjet 1460; it must be retailing at the 2.1k price point;
Recently purchased this for a friend who works in a press and he needs monochrome prints so this one does the job beautifully;
And he did not report any trouble so far; already changed 2-3 cartridges due to his heavy-duty usage;
And for the basic Laser printer, I believe u dont've much options since the B&W Laser printers start at the 5k price point;
The HP LaserJet 1018 might be a decent model worth considering; Does not have colour printing option onboard; Samsung may also have some entry-level models but no clue abt the same;
Pricing is around 5.2k;

Thanks guys, I have checked in the shop, latest model in HP Laser printer is 1007, which is selling for Rs. 5,750 (is it correct price?)
@gannu, HP Inkjet 1460 is selling for Rs. 1,850 in Indiaplaza itself, is it a good price? and what will be the cost of cartridges? how many pages can a black cartridge print (in real useage, not as mentioned by the HP people) ?

I work as a articled student in CA Firm...here they use Laser Jet HP 1020 model .Good on paper.we refill cartridges for INRs 300 and capacity comes to around 1000 pages in refill.the printer costs around 7500INRs & original cartridge costs a bomb [Model 12A]
Heard they launched a new model-designed for indian business.See the ad in papers.cant comment on the build though.I have used the above and they are good.been existing in the office for 2 years.

Friend says the printer can roughly output around 200-250 pages using the economy mode [which uses the least ink AFAIK]; seems like an awsum deal; even I'll be going for this one;
And its the HP 21 and HP22 cartridges which fetch around Rs 450 and Rs 600 respectively;
Indiaplaza's price seems to be a good one indeed; my friend bought it after a month of launch or so;
No clue abt the laser printer though; :ashamed:

HP 1020 is replaced by new model called 1007, this is what the Cheallenger computer guys told. The gave a price of Rs. 5,750 for it (MRP is 6,699).

I will go with the HP 1007. I want to confirm the price of this in retail market, anyone got any idea?
