All,

As mentioned, I am looking for fans that can be run off the main AC. Am interested in two fans as am interested in doing PushNPull air flow.

Also let me know if its a better idea to use 120mm high CFM fans for this kind of setup. Will it consumes less watts as compared to running from AC mains.

The fans will be fitted on the wall of wooden enclosure, to be precise, on the right hand side. The lower fan will push air in, and the upper fan will push air out.

Forgot to mention: The case is all opened up, that is, without the side car. Also I am planning to push the air through filters. Hence please recommend filter as well, as its very very very :@ dusty (due to construction going in neighborhood).

Thanks

well i use a 8inch AC fan which is located inside a wooden box(my Ex subwoofer enclosure)it has two holes of 3inch i just placed,2 flexible electrical pipes of 3in diameter that fits in those 2 holes ,and a 6inch intake hole, the reason i choosed this method rather then just pionting the 8inch fan blowing at my computer cabinet is because of the noise, which why i use the wooden enclosure of 3/4inch MDF its a great insulator of sound, and the airdflow is pretty good more then many 120mm fan combined or even a 140mm fan,and BTW the AC fan consumes 60watts which is a lot,but for my computer that runs on a cheap zebronics smps, and cannot afford to put more fans since the smps is running a very inefficeint power hungry p4 system ,2 HDDs,6600gt AGP(which btw consumes as much power as a 8800gt).
since i to have a construction going besides my house i tried to use sponge, and even a filter from a bike to cover the intake hole, but by doing so the airflow is greatly reduced, since i am already ducting the air to a distance of 1.2 to 1.5 meter.

oh and btw the fan is a industrail grade fan so it is noisy.

@adder, Can you please post some snaps of the setup? That will make it more clear. Yeah, am really interested in having a look at it.

well currently its dismanteled due to the fact i am getting a aircon and secondly many people who saw thar was mistaken for frankenstein monster,so pressure my mom and bro made me dismantle it.

well i am not sure about ur requirement ,but u most note that my pc has a regular frontech cabinet, since it just has a 80mm fan slot,i decided to use a subwoofer enclosure which accomidates the 8inch fan that can blow a curtain at a distance of 10feet,this fan is just kept inside the sub enclosure, and the fans sits verly firmly thanks to its adjustable rubber base,it was positioned such a way that the intake faces intake and exhaust faces the outlet.

i can attach the rough illustration that i did in paint.
if u want to know more about the fan i can post the pictures later ,but it just looks like a table fan but is just 10inch in diameter(8inch for the blades).
