CPU/Mobo Recommended Mo Bo For Amd 64 X2 7750+ Be

Alrite get a X2 7750BE and a 740G board.

Dat should be sufficient and well within ur budget of 6k.

U dnt need to go for 780G, considering ur requirements even a good 690G board should work out well...:cool2:

740G is am2.

it doesnt support HT 3.0

he needs atleast 760G.

Biostar has 760G bt the socket supports only upto 95W so OCing will be pretty much out of question in future.

in that case E5200 + G31 makes much more sense...wid room(read money :p) left for a discreet entry level gpu if n when needed...

My suggestion is very simple and straight to the point. Get a 7750 be as planned for 3.5k and get a biostar/asus mobo. The prices start from around 2.5k - 15k. Now my best bet for yoour requirements would be a 790gx mobo from biostar which will cost you around 4.5k, which is pretty good for light gaming. If you want to go any lower, then look for a 780 G chipset from biostar, which will cost you around 3.5k. The model no. is A780G M2+SE. Cheers.

thanx for the a advice.....well have to find the biostar mo bo.....actually never thought of it(only asus, msi n gigabyte was in mind)....also have to check the bangalore market(if its available or not)....hope fully its a good one.....

ne way.....can u pls explain.....why there is so much issue with 40W more power consumption, extra power bill.....max 95W support....on OC in the future...r these issues too much important.....just for a simple day to day use of a PC....or AMD is too bad compared to intel.....
just a thought for everyone!!!!!!!!
regards.....

anandtech posted a review on the successors today:

AnandTech: AMD Athlon X2 7850 vs. Intel Pentium E5300: Choosing the Best $70 CPU

E5xxx beats the amd in general applications but the athlon beats the pentium in gaming. power consumption of the athlon is 40W more on load.

So much for the reviews... they are so confusing. This review AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE reviewconcludes that x2 7750BE beats even core2duo E8200. Of course the power disadvantage is till there. I am so confused as I was watching this thread since I have very similar requirements as that of thread starter.

+1 for this....:hap2:
Add MSI K9A2GM-FIH (780G) for 4200/- in the list

it cant be concluded as beaten...u are comparing a cpu OCed to max wid another one at stock...
ofcourse price difference is to be considered bt E8200 can go a long way on stock cooler too..in that case E7xxx makes more sense...only if u r sure that E5xxx is not able to satisfy ur need..

Yes and no.... can't be concluded as beaten coz x2 is neck to neck with c2d at stock speeds. The overclocked X2 beats C2D in most of the tests, but even at stock speed it compares favourly with C2D. This review :hap5: bit-tech.net | Review - AMD Athlon X2 7750 & 7550 CPUs seconds it as well.

But between E5200 with X2 7750 BE ( similar budget CPU's), isn't X2 is the way to go?
BTW, for a moment not caring for the comparisons, what will be the best CPU MB combination on Intel platform for a strict budget of 6-7K.;)

E5200 + Gigabyte G31 invest remaining money into more RAM/HDD.

The X2 isn't worth it zand if your looking for more juice you can easily OC the E5200.

at stock speeds 7750BE > E5200

E5200 OCes very well so if u gonna OC then E5200 ftw!!

as a platform... if u consider upgrading cpu/board in 2yrs den amd might provide u an advantage edge.
in 7k u will get better amd combo if u workin at stock speeds..
at 6k i would prefer E5200 + G31

@all.....

its seems the confusion still continues....just now came to know....amd has announced a new dual-core AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition processor....priced approx 3.5k.....is it true.....ne confirmation.....

What about zotac geforce 8200 board?

Its cheaper than other similar boards
but dont know if available

Its true
7850 is on its way

Have u decided anything?
I think 7750 price should come down now
to about 3k

also chek ECS series 7 board for better value

a good mobo for 7750BE would be the Biostar TA790GXB A2+

at just Rs 4300 its the best deal.

Are u sure about the price of TA790GXB A2+? Why is it cheaper than micro ATX AMD 780G motherboards?

Here is the pic of Biostar TA790GXB A2+

Im also looking for a board with onboard ati 3200

or a no frill board with hd 4650

why are prices in india so high compared to newegg?

Also they offer mail in rebate

hd 3200 mobo is around usd 70, with 10 - 20 bucks rebate

and hd 4650 card is usd 40 - 55,

and here same thing cost good 25 - 50% more

why is that?

@mrrig...that is a nice board with plenty of options to overclock...dont go by the price. I have it and its pretty good. The only board I would choose above this for the AMD lineup would cost upwards of 9k...
