recording tv content from pmp?

am planning to get eithe cowon a3 or creative vision w.

Archos has a model that can record from cable with optional dock. most probably 605. Do check for that.

Even if you can get it to work, it is a pain in the ass to record from tv using pmp.

I believe that pinnacle offers a recorder that records tv and transfer them to psp or other pmp.
