Thnx in advance for your help & replies.

Generally it shud be in the system32 folder........
but do a regedit nd scan for this soft nd delete all the nessecary keys nd folders in there, exit nd restart.

do make a back up of ur reg......wont b necessary if u do it rite thou ;)

Is that the shredder icon on the desktop that u want to remove?
or the the windows recycle bin right click entry for the software?

You may delete the windows recycle bin by deleting this registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

To restore again make the entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Regards.

Seeing the "Recycle Bin" icon, I assume that you are using Windows XP!
Then, if "C:" is your active partition, i.e., you've installed your operating system in "C:", navigate to the folder "C:\Program Files\Stompsoft" (Or whatever folder you've installed it in. Delete all the files in there! If some file cannot be deleted, then terminate any process related to "Stompsoft" and try deleting the files. If nothing helps, then start your comp in "Safe Mode" and delete all the data of the folder.

Now, move over to the registry. Type "regedit" in the "Run" dialog box. Expand the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" hive. Go to "Software". See if there's some key with a name matching "Stompsoft". If there's one, then delete the key.
Do the same with "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE". Again, delete the "Stompsoft" key, if there exists one.

Finally, delete the program group folder of "Stompsoft" from the Start Menu.

Open up "msconfig" from "Run" command. Check to see if there's any entry related to "Stompsoft". If there's one delete it.

Now, type "services.msc" in the "Run" command box. Check again to see if there are any services related to "Stompsoft". If there are any, then disable the service!

Whew! Now reboot your comp.

Must be working fine! No!!?? Then, scan your hard disk with "ScanDisk" or any other hard disk scanner.

Again, reboot. See if the thing works!

Edit:
Damn! Just saw that your problem has been solved! Maybe I'm too slow!
Late Latif! :(
