and behold! Xiaomi decided to increase the display size to 5" from 4.7". :(
Other than that very good battery size, decent chipset and processor and good pricing. And I thought that competition in this price range had died.
Decisions decisions.
BTW,
a resolution of 1720 x 1280 pixels
The source messed up the screen resolution.

This phone will definitely break all the record and will force other manufacturer to match the price & features...

excellent news for phone lover.. hope I get it during sale..

There seems to be some confusion with the Redmi 3's.
Now, the authority lists three 32GB variants, indicating that there might be four variants of the Redmi 3 successor in the pipeline.
The three variants are the Xiaomi 2016036 , 2016035 , and 2016033 , all of which feature 32GB storage of inbuilt storage, instead of the 16GB seen on the earlier listed variant.
GSMarena has Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro. I couldn't find Redmi 3A and Redmi 3S there. Not sure if they are the same models. Their chipsets and GPU are also different but battery and display size are the same.

But nothing changes this fact:
Card slot microSD, up to 128 GB (uses SIM 2 slot)
FFFUUUUUU.... :@

Yeah I understand. Some people don't mind not having that tiny feature but I used a phone with backlit keys for around two years so turned into a silly habit. :|
