hello , just got my Home 256kbps Bsnl dataone connection last week , it is very nice !!! to my disappointment , Rajam ( guest ) in some thread ( in vinuthomas.com forum ) posted that Dare Global modem ( which was given to me ) is total crap .. yes it drops connection frequently ; I thought it is a problem with the line or some software settings ... somebody please confirm that this is reallly crap : if so , is it possible to ask them ( bsnl guys to change the modem ?
Also , please recommend awesome D-Link ADSL modem ( wireless version as well ) and the prices for them . is there a modem which is available for less than Rs.1000 ? I would appreciate if somebody posts all the good modems here ( and as I said , D-link wireless modem ) and their prices ..
my dad got a brand new Toshiba lappy in Chennai last week which has inbuilt ethernet ( Realtek RTL8139 ) and Atheros wireless ( Wi-Fi ready ) communication
