i cant get it:S ....if u can get equivalent or better deals compared to the members starting GO then y wasnt the thing implemented earlier? y after a member GO initiation:cool2: ...what does tht signify;)
 
This is because we also never get price updates at times. There are different Distributors for the same products and we dont deal with everyone. So maybe , if some different source is offering a better price , maybe we can bargain with our source too.

Unfortunately very little can be done regarding that.

I have tested this first hand when i tried to arrange Gigabyte X48 DQ6 at 2k lower than what dealers were charging exclusively for TE members directly from distries. But some ******* complained to distries ( yes I know who he was/is :gun2: :bangin: :dead: :annoyed: ). Same thing has happened again. Sometimes just feel like outing the guy in public and let everyone on TE boycott him :@ :@

But that would be unethical in a way.......... :|
 
^^+1 to what Phoenix says coz while posting a deal we have to take into consideration not only Mumbai pricing but all over India so it becomes very difficult for us keep a track of every source/distri tat's out there.

By doing what he has suggested it will be a win win situation if we can better a price then we'll post the Stuff or else the same person can very well start the GO for the same we dnt have any prob with it.

Errr....considering ethics for someone whos damaging everyone here? :P I say let everyone know in such cases. Ppl should be aware wat sort of people they are dealing with ;)

Well in most of the cases , its our word against theirs , and in the end , it will end up in nothing more than a flame war. In my case , the reason is not even confirmed , so i cant comment on anything. And i believe , if Sripad were asked , even he would find it difficult to produce any proof. And without that , i don't think anyone would like to accuse anybody else.

Well, consider 1 thing. This is that guys bread and butter. Slightly better deals are not our bread and butter.....

I wont be responsible for causing serious professional damage to a person over this.

Dealers who keep track of TE needs to understand that most of the times out of blue stunning deal here on TE is just that. Limited time good offer for members of this community. Even that X48 deal which i tried to arrange was because of the fact that i liked this board after using it but it was so darn expensive that people with even loose pockets wouldnt have bought it for its cost. And it would have been single deal with my personal purchase.

But still distries were forced to pull the offer. And I can even partially understand why dealers behave like this. I had nice long talk with the people in distribution channels, and they did push these dealers to reach certain targets.

So its a big mess, partly because of the way dealers in India want this whole thing to work in their favour. And partly because of the kinda market we have.............

Now tell me if its logical to out that guy over this.

And like Phoenix said, its my word against his. I will stand by my word, but I will not spoil the relationship I have with the people in this business over this.
 
Sometimes it's not the distris who put pressure. I for one am lucky that my distris support me without pushing me to keep items in stock. But the chaps sitting in Lamington and S.P.Road and the likes , are forced , or under their own wish , to take up stocks of items. And this put's a lot of pressure , believe me. This is one of the biggest risks in this line , getting stuck with the stock.

So lets bring an end to this discussion shall we :P
