I requested for their new connection 3 weeks back... Was out of town for a week... Today when I called they said there is no request as such form me !

And when I give them my area pin code, i.e balewadi they ask wether its chinchwad :@ ...

So I want to ask do they have infrastructure to provide bb internet in pune or I'm wasting my time ?
 
No point calling customer care, they are utterly useless. You will have to find a dealer who sets these up.
 
:( ... there is tata , tikona and you tele available here, so I guess reliance shouldn't have a prob... Can't go for tata again, and nobody except reliance have sensible plans without fup...

Just talked to local reliance guy, only wimax is available here :( ... 1500 bucks for 600 kbps is too high :( ... plz pune guys, suggest some good ul plans ... thanks !

Why not TATA? I have been using a wireline connection since December...

The thing is, I had tata a month back... They charged me

4k for a plan which cost 1k per month... Plan was NU and day 1.5gb monthly limit... I have not exceeded day limit in any case, talked to their nodal officer too... But they are not accepting their mistake... Hence I have stopped their payments... Now if in this case if I apply for their new connection, will I get it? Won't they blacklist me if the address is same?

And I'm using it since 2 years, but different ppl have diff tolerance levels and abhi methinks is not comfortable with TATA Indicom wired lines now.
Abhi: WiMax I'm a little uncomfortable with. Tell the Reliance guy to give you a demo if you decide to go with it at all. In the mean time bug TATA for correcting you bill.

The nodal officer said the billing team will get back to me, its been 3 weeks since then :@ ...

Today called local tata guy and applied for new connection :P , since there its no other descent wired bb provider available here... paid him 560 bucks for installation... Hope during verification they don't come to know about previous issue since address is same :-/

They have lots of plans. I have the 1.5mbps UL, costs 2041 after taxes per month.

But they might just be present in my society (Park Street), not sure.

And in the time since I have had it, I think I have, at best, had 2 days of connection problems.
 
I don't have any problem with their service, infact for last 3 years their downtime was just 2-3 days . Its just because of inflated billing last month for which I don't wish to pay I'm discontinuing their previous connection. that connection is temporarily suspended. Now I have applied for their new connection at same address... plan I'm going for is 1 mbps for 1299 rs ul ... One good news is, he showed me 2 new plans viz 1mbps ul for 999 pm and 2mbps ul for 1399rs pm ... they will be lunching them in a month ... only problem is if my previous connection problem jumbles with new connection I might not get new connection at all ...
