Reliance Broadnet connection issue

Figuring stuff out
Guide
Hello guys,
I've been having this problem with my reliance broadnet connection for the past 6 days now, my system can't get an IP assigned from the reliance servers .....I have tried everything from rebooting to resetting modem and all and am confident that the problem is at reliance's end . I tried customer care but they work at their own pace.....can anyone give me an idea about what needs to be done to get this problem solved? I can still sniff the network using wireshark....so i guess the cabling must be fine.....is there anything else that can be done at my end :S (except repairing connection via the windows gui) to get the connection working ? This disconnection is proving really harmful for me since i have my exams going on and the internet is such a great tool whenever i have doubts.......so guys plz help me out with this :)

^^ it is wired .....and still stuck with the same issue.....i did try that ipconfig /release and renew thing.....didn't help......any ideas ?

(i feel like it's been ages since i've been online :( )

UPDATE: Connection inactive even now, Just recieved the bills.....100% billing for the entire period......I made two requests for termination of services (on 3rd and 7th april) and i was told they were withdrawn by me (according to the customer care guy) ............they are pathetic......does anyone have any idea about the procedure to take them to consumer court ? I really must do that.....they have apparently been closing my complaints without actually acting on them......

Why dont you first talk to some senior manager about your problem.

Btw try to get a linux live cd, see if you have the same problem.
