Reliance jio 4g dongle

Hello,
Is there any usb dongle which supports the reliance 4g network?

The Jiofi3 official hotspot is quite limited in features.

This is a step up from the official device. Is there any manual which lists its functionalities?

Ideally, i need a device which has an ethernet or USB interface so i can use it with a regular openwrt router.

I am using unlocked Airtel B310s-927 with Jio. It has Ethernet port which goes in my router/switch to give wifi / wired connectivity in my home.

@prime - where/how did you get the unlocked Airtel device? I have the same device (but "original" probably locked one) currently with an Airtel 4G plan - wondering if I can use it for Jio.

@prime Sorry I meant with Jio setup. Your Airtel unlocked device will get an ip from JIO server. This device will then act as a gateway to your home network, hence double NAT. This setup is not really recommended for VOIP etc.

I bought an unlocked 4G modem from Irvine. Unfortunately, it only gets an ipv4 address from the reliance network and doesnt get the ipv6 address. Its only useful to get access to internet but the lack of ipv6 is pretty limiting.

@prime Do you get an ipv6 address on your unlocked modem?

There is an official dongle available. I used it for a couple of months and sold it off. Was pretty decent. What features are you looking for?

I want to use the official dongle Jio 3 for the following purposes

1. Connect my desktop through USB or Ethernet cable
2. Use the wifi for my mobile phones and laptop

There is no separate charging point for the hotspot and I will need it to run for atleast 12 hours at a stretch before I can remove the USB cable from the computer and put it in the charger point to recharge the hotspot ?

I know that I can use a USB cable to connect the hotspot to my computer but my question was that will it keep getting charged while it is connected to the computer ?

Just noticed on EBay that a new USB JIO dongle has been launched as Jio 4

Any idea about that ?

Thanks for advising

That's how i was using it as well. There is no battery in the dongle. It works only when connected to a USB port either on the laptop or wall charger. You can use it 24x7 without any problem.
