28th Dec seems to be the last day for a good bunch.
They wiped off the advance monthly recharges, as well as the 40GB booster packs.
Neighbour's account was showing 4th Jan as the last day, but that too got reset to 28th Dec.

Same here. Plan got changed to migration plan valid till 28th Dec.
Got the free hybrid STB as well, which is absolutely useless as of now.
Neither do they provide the coaxial STB service, nor do they provide the Jio TV app which streams all the channels.
All they provide is Youtube, Jio Cinema, Voot, Sony Live, Hotstar Premium and Eros Now.
I hoped to replace my Tata sky STB, but looks like I still to hold on to it for a while.
Also, the premium OTT services seems to be available only on Gold plan and above.

STB has JioTV+ app, and it curates everything from Sony Liv/Voot/HS etc in one interface. I have seen some channels on it as well. Disconnected for now as my TV and Fire Stick are more than sufficient. I'm on Diamond plan btw.

Yeah so i also this STB box and they upgraded it on first boot to include live TV but again i opted for silver plana and 400 GB will be done with in a weeks time so keeping it shut at the moment. My plan was also to get rid of dish tv but seems like it will take some time.
I had a detailed chat with local Jio guy and seems like they recognise the foolishness if their plan and said we might get some new options with better data option in next month. Keeping fingers crossed.
Another option is to opt for a 199 rs recharge which gives you 1 TB data but catch here is that it needs to be consumned in 7 day.. Beat that....

I was referring to JioTV app which has the full set of live channels which was missing from the hybrid DTH.
JioTV+ app is simply listing the channels in a single page which are a part of Hotstar Premium, Sony Liv & Voot.
The usual JioTV app available on phone is good enough to replace the DTH if they bring this app to the STB.
There are data vouchers other than the 199 one, starting from 101 for 20GB and the validity will be existing plan period.
Likewise the max voucher value is 4001 for 2000GB with existing plan validity. You can find these under data voucher tab.

Thanks for info although these data vouchers do not make any sense. i get 275 GB by spending another 1001 rs + GST which is more than the silver plan where i ger 400 GB ( 200+ 200 ) . I wonder what these guys are smoking ot Mr Abmani have hired some stupid MBA who doesnt know what he is doing....

They installed at my home. At the moment , have re packed it in box

I agree with you. The plans and data top ups are way too cluttered. They need to streamline their offerings. The only reason for keeping the connection is that I don't have the time and patience to switch the provider and run behind them till the connection is up and running.

That STB never sounded anything grand. Add to it the way their CC went missing on the 21st Dec when they simply blacked out the internet services and came back with the migration plan for some and reduced speeds for others while keeping them on the original plan made me hold back from 'upgrading' to their STB. Their reps did arrive with the box, and I told them that I was not interested. Hathway people been calling everyday to offer true unltd for INR 400 per month @50Mbps.
I hope these drunkards at Jio provide some better plans. Naive it may be, but was expecting some earth shattering plans to uproot chortel's Bband network as well a la their GSM coup. But sheer disappointment to even read 850 for 100GB with a paltry 'limited time promo' 50GBs thrown in. Hyderabadis got much more than biriyani to celebrate.
