Hey Guys,

I live in Navi Mumbai (Ghansoli sector 5 to be precise). I am lookin for an internet connection with 512 kbps or above (1mbps preferred) download speed and unlimited data transfer. Can anybody living in the area suggest me a provider please? (like local cable waalas and such, coz at my location airtel, tata indicom and reliance wired, you telecom etc are not feasible)

Also, I am thinking of gettting Reliance Wimax connection. Just wanna ask the existing users, how it fares. How is the reliability and do you get the speed that is promised? I will be using the net for online gaming and torrets (legal) and downloading games from steam and other providers, so a reliable net connection is a must.

Rel wimax is currently offering new customers only 1mbps unlimited and above plans. For postpaid users i.e.

I am on the 400kbps plan and so far its been good. I get the promised speed and even uploading is at same or higher speed. So maintaining ratios in torrents is not an issue.

Resolving complaints usually takes less than 24hrs. I would definitely recommend Reliance Wimax to you.

It's has got fantastic plans at very affordable prices :clap::clap:
And to top it all its got very good lan(dc++) with around 7Mbps on it so there just no need to download large files as the hubs already have large collection of HD content,softwares,games,etc. Plus there is IPTV were they provide 83 channels.

Pankaj, 5network is not avaialble in my are (Ghansoli sector 5).

Actually none is except SSV (which I just found out) and Reliance Wimax.. Is SSV any good? Is it reliable? Does it have good pings for game servers??? Does it provide speeds as promised on torrents and http?
 
Wimax is awesome. if it works right, it will keep working. if they don't set it up right though then you're gonna have hell.

i must say that my experience with reliance wimax in kharghar has been terrific and it has the lowest downtime/failures i have seen in any isp.

go for it if you can afford the 1mbps conn. i heard elsewhere that they might allow you to downgrade to a 600k conn after you take the standard 1mbps conn. check wiht the cc.
