Posts like that tell us more about the poster than the topic at hand. They dont advance the discussion, best ignored really as they are trolls, its impressive to see ppl doing this en masse while a discussion is full swing. Nothing is said but the message gets through, or then they try harder with something more inflammatory, warning or temp ban. I feel thats already the case.

But i'm still sticking to what i said earlier, that the system in place is about right, let the mods decide what is too hot or not.

apart from maoist blasts...every other blasts in india has something to do with religion..H or I..

Good for you@blr_p. Much as I hate ppl with blind hatred in them, I too am a victim of such a trait. let the most sensible decision prevail ( I never did like the term "majority", belonging to a minority India :), now if we only had a solution better than democracy...)

In my own life, it's mostly the plains ppl who get the rough end of regionalism (us tribals being a majority). I get a lot of bad sh*t from my ppl for supporting a plains Indian over a tribal guy. But most of my people are illiterate and un-educated. I hate to see the same kind of mentality here.

Which ever way it goes, I ain't givin up on TE :) . If the decision is for just regulating, I guess I'll have to get in the habit of reporting posts. Just for the record, I had never found any post offensive enough to report to the mods in all the years I've been a member...until a couple of days ago.

Edit: @cricfan, all those blasts had probably more to do with ppl trying to associate their psychopath behavior with religion(both parties) than actual religion. I suppose the actual religious ppl would be too busy appeasing their deities rather than planting bombs.

I also think my posts are turning from a feedback to a regular GT talk of the kind I'm complaining against, so I'm signing out. Peace (did that sound "secular" and libertine" :ashamed: ? )
 
lol. This is really funny. See even a thread meant to discourage political propaganda here on TE finally managed to turn into what we have seen before in general talk. That tells a lot about why topics like these shouldnt be here on TE at all.

its easy to say let mods deal with it on case to case basis. But its not practical, this thread was perfectly fine last time i checked, and in matter of minutes it has already turned bitter. :|

And increase the no of mods to control $#itty threads like these political threads?? I dont see any single person qualified to judge what is right and wrong or fair here to do that job. Everyone has their own agenda, propaganda, views, motives and belief.
