Hello,
Work Location: Accenture Services Pvt Ltd, Pritech Park (SEZ) Block 7, Outer Ring Road, Bellandur Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore - 560 103.
Residence Location for 1st 10 days, which is provided by Accenture: GREENVIEW HOMES, 21, Ejipura Main Rd, (near 23rd Cross), Bangalore- 47.
Residence Option 1: Near M R Ambedkar Dental College & Hospital 1/36, Cline Road, Cooke Town, Bangalore 560 005
Residence Option 2: Need suggestions from Bangalore Guys

Having Residence Option 1 since my close cousin has shifted there for doing his M.D.S and stays in a rented apartment.
My question is:
1. Easy ways of commuting from Option 1 to work location everyday. Working hours would be from 9/10AM to 5/6PM.
2. I can purchase/ get my own Bike from Mumbai to Bangalore, if at all commuting on bike is easier and faster during the hours i will be traveling.
3. I even plan to get my car to Bangalore from mumbai, but is traveling by car such a big pain coz of traffic??
4. I am still not aware whether Bus services would be provided by Accenture to Residence option 1 or not.
5. If Residence option 1 is to be removed from list due to 18 kms traveling distance between them, then what is a good location to acquire 1 BHK apartments with rent around 4-6k per month? near by my work location..

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Bangalore ( City of traffic ) and Accenture . You office is termed as Bang 7.

1. You will get company shuttle .

2. Well in the morning it wont take much time for you to come to office but the 6pm traffic is horrible.

3. Again it would take you 1-1.5 hours to reach home if you come by car.

4. Yes. You will get transport to that place .

5. I would suggest you to take a 1Bhk in Marathalli or Kormangala . That will be better option due to less traveling . You can also look in BTM . Will take 30 minutes in morning and 1 hour in the evening if those are your timings .

You can also look in Bellandur area also but that will exceed your budget .

All the places I have suggested will be difficult to get in that budget . Marthalli and BTM 1Bhk = 7K . I dont know about Kormangala .

Why not HSR?...That would be closer to Bellandur. Marathahalli is also a good option.
BTM 2nd stage is good place to dwell but your traffic timings meet the peak traffic hours :P

BTM 1BHK rates 6-8k
Kormanagala rates 7K-9K

Travelling by car isn't a good idea on that road. Metro construction is going on currently on that road iirc.

Possible areas within 5 kms for residence and approximate rent for 1BHK: HSR(7K), Koramangala(8K), BTM(6K), Begur Road(5K), Rupena agrahara(5K), Sarjapur Road(6k),Bellandur gate(8k), Bellandur village(6k) or Marathalli(6k). All the best !

Keeping an eye on this thread, my company as decided to transfer me to Bangalore and give tentative joining date of 10th Oct. Will post back if they are actually serious. :P

Using a Bike is a better way to commute in Bangalore.

Due to the metro construction work I dont think car will be a good idea if your office is at that place.
4. I am still not aware whether Bus services would be provided by Accenture to Residence option 1 or not.
Transport will be provided by the company.

There are some good PG's in Bellandur, with single and double sharing options. In one of the PG's the rent was 5k and it was so good with all the facilities such as AC, TV, washing machine, fridge , wifi etc. I think they have increased the rent to 7K now, but its still worth. And it will be very close to your office, 10 minutes maximum by walk.

Won't be getting the four wheeler mostly then.. thanks a lot for all the suggestions, will have a check with colleagues once i reach ban Bangalore.

All the suggestions given above are really good.HSR layout might workout cheaper and better than Marathalli since new buildings and apartments come up there.Marathhalli is mostly chosen by people who have work mostly in Whitefield and ITPL .You might not get as many options in Marathhalli.I hardly did when I was looking for a place a few months ago.

I have a similar query about the traffics. I might move to B'lore for my job in near future. How are the traffic condition on the Outer Ring Road in the morning (8-9am) and the evening (5-7pm) between Hebbal and Channasandra/KR Puram ?

8-9 am is ok . You can live with it .

5-7 . That is a disaster time !

Outer Ring Road between marathalli and koramangla (the stretch where your office is) is a mess thanks to all the flyover constructions. I'd suggest you find a place right beside office if you wish to not suffer. There are kilometer long jams in that area every day.

^Should be fixed by december/early next year...after that free flowing traffic till Silk board.

I meant the Outer Ring Road part...

Yup but like every other government project in bangalore, expect delays. We should have had the metro in jan. Now it turns out its gonna be operational end of october.

and you honestly believe that??? :)

Traffic between Hebbal and KR Puram is Now OK from 1 week. I work at Manyata which is in between and can give daily traffic update :)

Actually there are only 2 signals in between and the Km's long Traffic was true till last week. Now the Manyata traffic has been diverted into Nagavara and the traffic has become stable as of now. The flyover construction may still take an year to complete and the traffic is very moody here.

As of now it is OK but traffic is very unpredictable here.
