But if your trying to remove your PC from a X domain that doesn't need access to a server, you can do it by:
Right Click My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name -> Change -> Remove The domain or choose any Workgroup and restart your PC.
Unless their is 'no' Group Policy (for domain assignment) forced from the server on which you connect, you easily separate yourself from an assigned domain
