Graphic Cards Replacement for Ati Radeon 4670

My desktop has a Ati Radeon 4670/1GB. My son used to play games like Dirt, Grid, MS Flight Simulator etc. The PC started rebooting randomly recently while using the card. PC runs fine w/o the card. Tried clean OS installation, driver upgrade/downgrade etc.

I've zero knowledge about graphics cards. So what would be the ideal replacement for the 4670? I don't want a power hungry card as I don't have a high end PSU. Anything that can be powered through the PCIe slot will be fine.
Budget: 7K max.

have heard only good things about sspphire. so warranty should'nt be an issue.

5670 and 6670 are cheaper ones but they are one generation older and wont do all that well with upcoming games. get a ddr 5, much faster than ddr3
 
for that resolution , even a 6670 will be more than enough. but , 6k for that card is a little too much .Had it been 5k, it would have been a decent deal.

if spending 6k, you might as well get the 7750. Newer architecture , consumes lesser power

At this resolution, i don't think there will be any difference between DDR5 and DDR3 cards. Go with Sapphire 6670 1GB DDR3 one.

Or as mentioned by 6pack, get 7750 if it is any cheaper...
 
7750 is 7k while 6670 DDR3 is 5K, 6670 DDR5 is 6K .
So, I guess I'd go with 6670 DDR3.
I do not play at all, the PC is used by my son for games. I do not intend to upgrade monitor unless it conks off :) .
