Reprogram lg remote to not start ac in energy saver mode

I have this 2020 model lg air conditioner, the default operating mode is energy saver instead of cool, from my understanding it's done by the remote
Is it possible to reprogram it so that the initial starting mode after powering on the remote is cold instead of energy saver

I suggest you try to turn off the AC through the power plug, just to test, does it retain it's operating mode then, when you power on directly?

Mass manufactured remotes are likely to use OTP chips.

Two ideas if you like software and hardware projects:

- Build a custom, tiny IR remote for this AC. Extra bonus points for doing it under 50 INR or 100 INR.

- If your phone has an IR transmitter LED, write an Android app to transmit the proper IR codes

Sounds like a fun project!

Can you even do that under 100? The sensor and controller itself would go over 300 at least no?

I somehow didn't get any notification for replies on this post
Share some more info about model no. of AC and remote.
I am away from my home for few days, will share them once i get back

Operating mode is retained in this case but powering off from the power switch will be inconvenient and I mostly use it on sleep mode, the remote would power off in that case and powering it(remote) back again would switch the ac to energy saver unless i block the ir sensor while turning it on

My current phone doesn't have an ir sensor, will look for the first option
There are smart IR emitters which can control the AC from the app running on your mobile.
No ir sensor in current phone, have a Xiaomi spare phone but i only found mi's remote app worthy to use and it doesn't have widgets for remote
Integration with google home of mi remote would be nice, I'll be able to access remote from lock screen that way

So it works, maybe all you have to do is get some kind of smart plug for your 16A socket, and use it's remote for purpose of only turning it ON and OFF, this way your operating mode will be retained, and for all other purposes use your normal AC remote.
