Hi All

My Desk Top has got the following basic spec.

Intel Pentium(R) D CPU 2.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM

OS WindowsXP professional with SP3 pack
I am having a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-203B DVD writer and it takes more than 1 Hr to write a

Data DVD. I have already flashed the drive with the hardware update SH-S203B_SB04 utility.
But still it takes more than 1 Hr to write a Data DVD.

The driver for the DVD writer is Microsoft driver 5.1.2600.5512, of 2001.

Some time back when I was using Vista, it took just less than 9 min to write a DVD.

Can some one suggest any method to reduce the DVD writing time ?

With Thanks in Advance

Did you check if the ide/atapi controller under device manage is under pio mode or whether its in dma mode? Change all ide controllers to DMA mode. Just double click on IDE controllers, click on advance settings and put a check mark on Enable DMA.
