REQ: Advice | Sony W960i or Nokia N82

As the topic says i am considering these 2 phones, but cannot make up my mind.

1) i need one with a decent / good camera. Currently using the W850i and the camera sucks!
2) Want one with good sound quality and a good set of headphones
3) Wifi
4) Decent battery life
5) Not very heavy
6) Keypad should be compatible to THICK Fingers!

Any sites where these 2 have been compared?

N82 mate. hands down. The camera on the N82, is waay better than the 3.2 mega pixel unit on the W960i. as per the rest of the features you want, they are evenly matched IMHO :)
 
n82.
pros:
Better connectivity options.
Faster processor
3.5 mm audio jack is there
availability of more applications for S60
cons:
smaller screen size
old S60 interface may look out of date
sound quality not as good as w960

SE W960
pros:
larger screen ( although 256k color, ill be more happy with this screen)
touch screen UI
better sound quality
opera browser provided is better than Nokia S60 browser
cons:
no 3.5 mm jack
sluggish response due to slow processor
only 802.11 b. no 802.11g, or EDGE
no GPS

ill go with w960 for being more usable and bcoz n82 is very common now a days.. :)
 
it depends on your needs vivek, as in I bought the K790i because of its better camera since thats what matters to me the most, out here N82 has a better camera with xenon flash and DVD quality video recording. For music and looks i would prefer the W960i. So its upto you what you prefer more but undoubtedly both the phones are good.
 
N82 for camera, W960 for battery life.

I like my n82 but that battery is almost half of my k750!

well both are definitely competitive and equally recommended...
N82:
-5mp cam
-wifi
-gps
W960i:
-3.2mp cam
-8gb int. storage

If you're after an out and out music monster, a serious replacement for your own mp3 player, then it has to be the Sony Ericson W960i. If you want it for other features, and you love the idea of built-in GPS, then the Nokia N82 is the phone for you. last but not the least,USE BOTH THE PHONES FOR A FEW MINS & LET YOUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS DECIDE FOR YOU !
 
hey guys ... what is going on here .. almight n82 is being compared... :rofl:

seriously .. n82 the best phone i ever had ..superb camera .. very fast ..as fast as my old k750i that is phone as well as camera functioning ... mind blowing xenon flash . which i missed in k750i and n73.. wifi .. gps .. tv out..3.5mm jack ..i dont need to tell what it has ..:D

only cons are .. sperakers have low volume compared to n73me .. about 60% of n73 .. battery life not impressive as k750i .. but its sufficient .. and no infrared .if that counts ..

go for n82 .. and yeah it does not overheat during operation ..:)

about storage .. it comes with 2gb micro sd ..expandable upto 32gb .. and now 12 gb cards are out .. someone used it with 8gb card . and it was as smooth as ever..no lags ..
 
I haven't used either, but from seeing the features and specs, I would have gone for the N82.

- Camera is easily superior.
- N82 has a faster processor and more ram.Makes a big difference, as I found out on comparing my super fast E51 to my friend's N73. :ohyeah:
- S60 has far greater support than UIQ
- Personally, I hate touchscreens, as they need a two handed usage, and they simply don't work in direct sunlight.
