Req: Review DishTV Service

Hi guyz,
Dunno if this was the Apt section to put this Thread, modz pls Excuse but this is the one i c'd make out to be most watched one.

Anyone using the DishTV service in delhi or NCR area ?

I called up my dealer & they said except sony & star all channels are available with nice sound & picture quality.
Just requesting a review from u guyz for the one's alreaday using the Service.

I don't personally use it, but it was there in the gym and yeah really good quality sound + pics, but I don't think it gets ten sports either. ESPNSTAR is there tho.

How does it matter whether NCR or not? It is satellite in the same hemisphere after all.
 
i have dish tv at my clinic.

the reception is vbery crystal clear and sound quality is just great.

right now i have taken the default 4500/- rs. one year package with 70 channels.

the star tv package is not there.
no sony package too (the one alliance with ten sports, discovery, axn all those channels)

the channels i get are 33 fta + zee bouquet + few news channels + espn and star sports + few music channels.

as the rental was increasing and the cost was going higher i opted for this.

next year i am not going to renew the paid subscription and will continue with free channels only

its available any where in india and if you are not in to those sas bahu dramas and just for the sake of need cable tv this is the best option.

dd direct plus service is also there with only free to air channels and equally clear signals but the catch is it may not accept prepaid cards later on when more players enter.

the tata - star tv alliance as applied for licence
reliance (anil ambani group) has also applied for licence

so the tariff are bound to reduce.

i forgot to mention i get radio reception too you need to keep tv on or have to put audio cable in you audio system. (red fm and vividh bharti are worthwhile channels of 13 available)
 
well i too wanted to ask this as i am fed up with my operator's service..

firstly, what all are the free channels? are espn and star sports free? and what is the renewal fee of the paid channels for the next year?

also, can we get sony/discovery/ start plus/ NGC on it, or shud we have to pay for it, if its paid, howmuch is the annual fees?

and is it possible to give connection to multiple TVs with a single dish...

yes and No.....

1 channel feed to as many tv's u want....but multiple channels across multiple TVs will not be possible.....

Frankly spkng, Dish TV is targeted at the rural and class C town SEC A folks who do not have access to decent cable services...or people ling in inaccessible areas......
