Forum Feedback Request: New section!! ( for musicians)

Hey guys,
I think there are many musicians over here in TE. :hap2: So how about a separate section for that? :)
We can discuss everything right from suggestions for Humbucking pickups to upcoming gigs to different playing techniques.!! It would sure be fun, discussing guitars,processors,amps..:bleh:
Guitar tweaking and other 1337 stuff..etc etc...:clap: :clap:
So what do you guys think?? :D

by this way,we can get our doubts/suggestions cleared/made and make new music friands :bleh:

Yeah! It would be real fun!! :)

And it includes not only guitars but everything pertaining to music..drums,synthesizers etc!!!
 
Well, frankly speaking, as of now the general section would serve the purpose as there are not many threads/posts regarding this, as far as I can see.

Start off a few good threads and they could be made sticky if required. Maybe when we have enough material on the same we could go about thinking along the lines of a new section.

I feel that in the current situation, its not required due to lack of content. :)

@ Samrulez - can u post up some guitar learning tutorials? ive bought an expensive acoustic guitar for my bro to learn and its eating dust rite now.. can u post the most easies and quickest way of learning a guitar (for nOOb) :P
 
If you plan on selling the guitar give me a shout. Enough OT.

I agree with Xterminator - there aren't enough of us around here for a new section.

The thing is that the general quality of discussion here is of a pretty high quality, but there are other forums for a musician discussion. Since the forum is dedicated to technology, maybe a 'Music' section would be a better idea.

It could contain all the discussions on music systems, playlists, computer music and technology, and as a side-effect, musicians could discuss creation, equipment and other stuff. I would imagine all the discussions and wars on computer speakers happening there - since music is a big interest for a lot of people, but not necessarily creating it, a more generic section would be worth maintaining and keeping.

Sure buddy!!

1st get yourself a digital tuner and get it properly tuned!! (Tuning is the most important) ...

Buy a simply chord book or look up the net for chords..and look up ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 250,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs! for different techniques (usually for lead)

Start off with simple Major and Minor chords..

Start offf with..

Em,Am,A,D,C,G,Dm,F etc. and then Bar chords. Practice enough so you have descent speed...it will take time..but make sure your comfortable playing it...:) After your strong at rhythm , start off with lead guitarting.. :yahoo:

In the beginning look up the net for Chords for songs....later you'll be able to recognize them on your own..:)

BEWARE bcoz there is a LOT of wrong material on the net...always cross check...with different sites...:)

why not start a thread in general talk for you musicians to swap ideas and i'll sticky it .. if it kicks off then we can think about adding sections

I think its a good idea.. All the music related threads could be shifted there.. Heh, yeah i know its a lot of work for the mods.. but welll..

+1 for the idea. I was always thinking of searching for a music forum on internet and join it. It will be really good if we can have it here
 
I dont think anish picked up the irony in Rio's post :P My opinion is the same as what XT and bottel stated, just use General Talk

hey buddy no misunderstanding..here.:ohyeah: .my disp pic is just what i would like to have..not mine..:D but mine is very simple a bass,2 toms , i floor tom and one crash and ride cymbals..:)
