If the problem is with the prefix of "GO" being used in the title then that can be revised and the moderators/admins could come up with a new prefix like "DP - Dealers Paradise" or "DS - Dealer Sale"
DS seems to be a very good idea :)

the points are valid so do the explanation by KMD.

a logical / ethical / literary solution IMHO is a general consensus by Dealers Paradise members to use :

Dealer GO as prefix rather than just GO.

how does it go with concerns?

PS : i was beaten by KUMAR to it :P

I appreciate the fact that KMD has chosen to try an alternative title- muchos gracias. :)
How about TPO- 'TodPhod Offer'- sounds ToduPhodu. :P

But regd. dealers are not the cause of ire- they offer stuff shipped that regular dealers won't and sell it cheaper many a times, apart from some super exclusive deals. :)

The case of anyone and everyone posting a deal after a quote from their "source" and starting a so-called 'GO' is on the rise since sometime.
And these 'GO's go on and on till someone reports having purchased the same stuff much cheaper on an individual basis or sometimes keep going on even after that.

Nothing against that from my side- after all if the buyer doesn't mind then why should i. :P
But try and do not use the word 'GO' unless you really mean it. :)

Well a new dealer ....the well know Amarbir :P is here and here he posts his new go

http://www.techenclave.com/dealer-s-paradise/go-sandisk-flash-cards-100-original-110232.html

Pricing is same as his website....not even a penny less. In fact some prices are even higher than local market prices. And he advertises it as GO

I would suggest that Dealers should not post anything as GO....as Group Order in a tech forum usually means a "Not for Profit" mass order. So this is quite unethical and sounds confusing to a new member. Dealers can rather use the term Mass Sale or something.

Also for individual started GOs....define a time limit for the GOs.Also the GO starter and the buyers should keep the 1st post updated with all orders and payment amount.(that will take care of the 100s of DELL GOs that we see evryday  and also of any pricing change mechanisms)

Personally speaking most of the time I find GO prices r rather ridiculous and vary by a huge amount for same product. And the GO owners push the products as if they have some sale targets to meet. Any such reporting should be dealt on strongly ( we can have a customized reporting button for GOs or for whole market thread which can report for ridiculous pricing / cheating or whatever...that would also take care of thread carpping in those sections)

Can't think of anything more.....didn't thought of posting anything here...but seeing amarbir's so called GO I was :(

@Bikey---- ur liners and phrases r too good :D....hw do u come up with those

He is right. There is also no minimum orders required thingy before he orders stuff and distributes it.

It is plain selling with the word GO :P

Amarbir for long has been avoiding buying a dealers account and using GO for all his deals.

If KMD and Phoneix pay extra for a dealers account then shouldn't this guy also shell out money to TE for making deals on the site ?

Thats a very good suggestion. Lets see how that can be implemented without getting circumvented

Exactly! Raises suspicion

Leave alone for a no....ppl are nt even ready to divulge any details abt some GOs....bill is for lower amount....no fixes nos...no dates.

Someday it might turn real bad. May be this should be dealt strongly rather than wait for something to happen :(

VR-Zone/XS/AT takes GO/Mass orders very seriously and any discrepancy is severely dealt with.

what????? bill is for lower amount???? I always had this feeling that in some of these GO's, full discount is not passed onto the buyer

Let me say how i organize the GOs

First i speak with the dealer/distri what of the details like pricing n other things.

Then start a GO thread here, clearly mentioning the minimum orders needed and price(which includes the shipping, the misc expenditure which includes travel and packing expenses).

Once these are reached ( or almost) i proceed with ordering stuff and ship it as soon as possible.

Bill will be given at rate mentioned - shipping and misc expense. The will be in my name and it'll have the nos. item i purchased.

Once everything is clear i close that thread.

I have not given the bills for the Ep 630 GO, because the distri, Cyberstar Infocom have requested me to not to give the bill which was given to me to anyone else. He also stated that next time he'll provide me a bill through a dealer which can be given to others.

You can check this thread on how my GO went : http://www.techenclave.com/hot-deals-and-discussions/go-mx310-mx518-93486.html

Also, i would like to tell the fellow members organizing the individual GO that, try not to end up spending up from your pocket and be in a loss.

So please spare it for 'losers/emotional fools' like me who sometimes pay from their pocket to honour certain sales/purchases/GOs on TE. :)

I don't expect you to believe- and there is no need either. :)
How many actual/real TE GOs have you witnessed and/or been a part of pal to question those who have?? :)

I ended up losing Rs 1600 in a GO in which the roginal cost of the product was for Rs 800... And it wasnt my fault at any point of time... Ofcourse the other party agreed to share the losses but i declined as the situation had urned out to be such that i felt i might lose somebody who could turn out to be a great friend cause of little sum of money...

Few years back i had lost 8.5K due to courier company's fault... Again it wasnt my fault at all... And i had to bear 100% losses... And this was way ugly then one coud even imagine... But these are the risks you take in a GO... Cause both the times i was trying to help members to get a good product at a decent/lower price...
