Forum Feedback Requesting- Do's and Don't s and a Warning system in place

Hi @renegade/mods,

It feels bad to see where even privileged and senior members are getting banned all of a sudden without a warning.

I think members esp. the senior ones feel it's too harsh and a warning should be given to the member before a perma ban.

Most importantly, a warning system should be in place else everyone will feel they are in the recruit category to get kicked-out directly without any reasoning.

We did has a warning system couple of years ago which prevented people from posting for few hours/days or so but could converse with the mods and other members. I think such system should be re-integrated and will be helpful for everyone.

Also, we can have a simple Do's and Don'ts for recruits and senior category of members which can help them prevent entering the red zone aka prevention from getting banned!
A simple table or instructions shall suffice.

I hope we can have a better system in place and banning should be the last resort.

Thanks @nRiTeCh for bringing this up. Was banned yesterday (I am still not sure why) and I am unbanned now. There was no way to contact any mods/admins, as I don't know any of them personally. I tried the contact us section but did not hear back (in the short time I was banned).

Always thought it was really hard to get banned in this place. They are more vigilant in the sales threads though. There have been some determined fraudsters in there.

Ban without giving any reason is just abuse of power, why would users stick to such platform where they don't have a say (Forums are meant for discussions anyway)
Maybe next ban is me for discussing ban?

Ban is for breaking rules that are in place. We can't get into explaining why each member is banned, new or old. We volunteer here to keep this place running as smoothly as possible. We are humans, can make mistakes and nothing is perfect anywhere.
You've been here 13 years? Why? the same reason why many of us are here, hopefully.

You don't have to explain to anyone but to the one who got banned. Most of the forums have an automated message system where you can specify the reason for ban (If I am not wrong). I do agree and completely understand that we as human can make mistakes and moderation is a thankless job too. But if you have a power to restrict someone access then atleast as a common curtsy give a reason (This post is not intended for you or anyone in particular, Its for the job title).

Explanation will help to bring transparency in system and also set precedence for forum members. Some of us are new and some are old. There is discomfort in members getting banned without any clue so I urge to admin/mods to take this as a feedback/suggestion.
