Finnish indie developer Theory Interactive Ltd. has come up with an amazing in-game teaser trailer for their upcoming PC exclusive title. Just give it a watch:

For now I am completely blown away by that in-game trailer's visuals!
 
In-game? Looks like pre-rendered footage to me. Guess we'll have to wait till something concrete is actually displayed.
 
Though they "claim" it's an in-game/pre-alpha footage, the final product is yet to be seen. If you're saying, watching that is equivalent of what we'll be seeing within the game, you're raising your hopes way too high. It's like saying the "Samaritan Tech demo" from EPIC would actually be the real gameplay footage. This was barely a 2 minute preview, which showed nothing apart from rainfall, sun shafts, foliage generation and a droid's boot-up sequence screen. Forgive for being a skeptic, but that's nothing jaw-dropping.
 
Not to mention, they have said that the final product is going to be at least better than what was shown in this footage if not worse. I'd set my bars high with this one knowing that this is coming from an indie developer!

But yeah, that footage isn't pre-rendered.
 
I respect the fact that they are independent developers, but I have stopped drooling on these over-glorified CGI teasers and believing in "what you see is what you get" bullshit. The only game which managed to pull this off, successfully, was God of War III. The game was pixel to pixel rendered the same way in it's trailer, as it was within the final game.

So until I actually see someone playing this game or see an indication of a HUD, or any REAL footage, I'll remain on the other side of the fence.
 
If its really in-game teaser and if its true what they said,"What you see is what you get" Then visuals are going to be epic!

Although as ethan i am also not sure about it. No game has been live upto the fact that 'what you see is what you get'. Didn't saw any trailer of God of War III So no idea if its true what ethan said.
 
I wouldn't really buy it either unless I see some actual gameplay footage.

Either way, what I liked was how hey made the trailer, very cinematic.

I'm sure you have played the final game. Everything in that trailer was retained in the full game, in the same glory and even more polished to some extent. And know the best part, we never expected that level of detail. It was just delivered, without making any prior claims.

I started GOW3 straight after Ending GOW2 a month back and ended it. it was a mind blowing Experience that literally blew my head off and my expectations. So i agree that GOW3 is the only game which actually sets in the statement "What you see is what you get" completely.

I would agree about gow3 looking as good as the trailers, but i would also add BF3 to that list. That game is too good graphically. Best on PC currently.

Nada I don't think so, GOOD = THE WITCHER 2 period.

Haven't played BF3 till now

so dunno but after seeing the teaser, huge respect towards gow team. I hope RESET team does the same.

Anyways back to he Topic the trailer did look great and if what they said is true. Then i hope it'll make cryengine3, frostbite etc weep as gannu said. Also i hope the story is good.

Both have their strong points, but I feel Frostbite 2 is way more advanced, with Dx11 features like tessellation and stuff!

Although, the Red Engine has its breath taking moments, and the bokeh filter on those far away trees and objects, looks stunning!
