Restarts after resuming from hibernation

I just downgraded to Windows XP from Vista.

And I've run into a problem I can't understand, I've googled for the problem but am yet to find a suitable solution.

I enabled Hibernation, when I hibernate my PC it hibernates just fine and when I switch it back on it seems to resume just fine, and I can use it for a few seconds, everything seems normal.

But then the screen goes blank and then it appears to freeze, then I can use it for a few more seconds and the same thing happens a couple of times and then the PC just restarts with warning.

Any ideas?

Bump guys facing similar problem with windows 7.

After resuming from hibernate screen starts flickering and after like 10-15 seconds PC restarts. What to do? Please help.

More Info- I had been using different mobo earlier and never faced this issue, recently changed the motherboard and started facing this issue, so tried to solve it myself after disabling power management feature in device manager for all the devices and yes it worked fine without any problem for like 7-8 days but from yesterday again the problem started occurring and I did not make any changes in computer besides installing some themes and some light softwares.

This might seem like a dumb question but,
1. Are you using a replaced motherboard of the original motherboard
2. Have you replaced the motherboard with a different one? Did you reinstall the OS or simply uninstall the previous drivers and install the current motherboard's drivers?

If it is the 1st case you could choose to upgrade your drivers and see if it fixes your problem.

In second case it can be a driver issue and you can try using Revo Uninstaller to remove all drivers their traces and install the drivers of the current motherboard. If that doesn't work you may need to reinstall your OS.

^^ Thanks for replying but, I have reinstalled the windows with new mobo and all the drivers including BIOS has been updated to the latest one. Today I reinstalled and now I am facing blue screen of death while resuming it after hibernation. Dont know what the problem is. Shutting down and restarting is pain, takes long time to get PC in normal state. Hibernate feature is must for me. If anything else you want to know, please let me know.

Seems like problem has gone after updating the driver of LAN from gigabyte website. Earlier I updated it directly form manufacture website. Lets see how long will it work fine.
