Retriving RAR password for protected file?

I had made a win rar file which is password protected and i hv forgot the password.

Can i open the files by using any method?

Pls help.

If u have an Ubuntu Live CD, use to unrar it. It wont even ask for password. :hap2:

Odd, i never faced a Fail with elcomsoft... It is .zip or .rar?

it is a winrar file. The software took nearly 40 minutes but could not find the password.

40 minutes?? Lol. Expect to spend several months running the software depending on the length of the password and if your mixed letters and numbers etc.

rar is difficult to crack....
