If the return is guaranteed then it is better than bank interest at 6.317% of Internal Rate of Return. Apply XIRR in excel.

Depends on your risk profile / appetite. Generally investing in equity funds should give around 12% to 15% CAGR while Balanced funds should give 9% to 12% and debt funds that a AAA rated should give you around 8%. I lost the trust in stock markets due to lack of transparency, insider tradings, preferential treatment of institutional investors over retail investors and general lack propriety by the company promoters. The debt funds a no good either what with a behemoth like Franklin Templeton closing debt funds and leaving investors high and dry.
