That action sequence in the start of the movie is actually done withouth any safety, its a form or a style where these guys actually jump these distances and at these heights almost perfectly. If you look around on the net , maybe gootube im sure youll find it, I dont recollect the name of that home-made movie but its unbelievable what these guys can do.

Secondly, Its definately a surprise that there were no gadgets but that actually played a great part in making the movie what it is.

As a friend mentioned to me, since its the "start" of 007, the love-angle , where he loses the girl he loves might be the main reason why hes so detached from girls or love.. i buy that.

Like a lot of people I expected Daniel Craig to ruin the Bond name but I was wrong. Sure, he does look like a monkey in some scenes where hes desperately trying to give a "tough" look but maybe it was the movie that suited him.

All in all, its a break from all the "superhuman" "supergadget" "invincible" "smartass" Bond movies that we're all accustomed to.

Its a great movie, don't miss it.

Just my personal opinion. :D

That art style is called Parkour and Sebastien Foucan (who is the suicide bomber in the movie) is one of the pioneers of that style. If you are talking about the documentary then it's called Jump London.

aaaah ok !! Me and my friends were wondering what it was called.

It is a sport somewhere in France isnt it ??

Best bond movie since those golden Sean Connery era!! Great movie, with great acting and for a change we have a decent script!! Much better than the crappy golden eye which this director made 10 yrs. ago.

I loved it 2! Craig lacks the sophistication that Brosnan brought to the intense scenes but he makes up for it with all the athleticism in the action scenes that Brosnan neva had and he's witty as hell. Daniel Craig ftw! :P

P.S: My fav dialogue in the movie [Torture scene] -
James Bond to Le Chiffre : "Now the whole world will know you died trying to scratch my balls....ROFL

I have not seen this movie...But essentially Ian Flemings James Bond is a man in his mid 30s whos nt a stud or athletic but sm1 whos very charming n cool/sauve, very intelligent n lucky...

But again if it makes for better viewing why nt go of the course...

I still say the movie sucks  And if you say its true to the book, then I'll say the book sucks :P

Comeon! Beat the bad guy at poker? Thats the plot? :S

Golden Eye was crappy? It's the best Bond movie ever imo.

The old Bond movies don't do much for me. They are boring and campy as hell.

the original casino royale had released in 1967 (39 years ago if counted from 2006):

Casino Royale (1967)

Watched the old one 2 days back. Its quite a comedy. The new one seems be more serious.

aggressiveness is not an attribute to be associated with bond

Yeah, I agree. Bond is more about attitude than aggresiveness.

I have watched almost all of the bond movies and the only one that is not so good is "The world is not enough".

Vin Diesel was good in xXx, but he would not fit the role for Bond.

You'll get flamed pretty bad for sure ;).

Well, I also didnt like the old Bond movies.

Especially the ones based on the books I read (Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Dr No).

I prefer the newer ones with Pierce Brosnan.

The older guys may be good, but I didnt like them at all....and I disliked the movies even more

You can't say you're a Bond fan if you say the old movies were bad... did you actually watch them in the 80's or did you watch it in 2005??? Btw, off the record Pierce Brosnan is a pu$$y IMO
