Storage Solutions Right time to buy Ext HDD ?

I am looking to buy 2TB USB3.0 ext HDD. Shall I buy now around 9K with 3 years warranty

OR

when prices fall, I guess in April-May with 1 year warranty ?

BTW, even I had the same query. I already have a 500GB external and need atleast 500GB more. Or should I sell the current 500 and opt for a 1TB?

And are you sure that the Warranty period will be reduced to 1 year from April-May?? :O
