Well, an uncle of mine called me and informed me of the robbery that took place on Sunday evening, around 9:30 PM.
It was @ Graff Diamonds, in Wafi Mall in Dubai city. The thieves used 2x stolen AUDI A8, rushed into the mall with the vehicles, stole 50 MILLION AED worth of jewelery, and bailed out in about 1 minute and 45 seconds.
*Note, different newspapers are quoting different estimates, this estimate is that which was quote in Gulf News.
All I can say is ... WOW!
I've included a link to one of the videos, there are 2x Videos, one from a straight angle, and the other from a side view.
When u watch the second video, you'll notice that the driver of the white AUDI honks, and the thieves rush out, get into the car and drive off.
Considering I lived there for such a long time, I feel quite odd. Never heard of something so severe happening in Dubai.
Gotta admit though, "filmy" shit like this is unheard of in Dubai, should be a wake up call for them.
Btw, the thieves blew up both the vehicles on Zabeel Road, which were stolen in the first place.
Here's the excerpt from Gulf News, one of Dubai's Leading newspaper:

Dubai: Police launched a massive hunt for the robbers who looted a jewellery store in Wafi City in a mere one minute and 45 seconds. A Dubai police official said no arrest has been made in the Graff jewellery store robbery on Sunday night, believed to be the first of its kind in the city. Gulf News, however, learnt that the faces of the suspects have been identified. Police are estimating the value of the diamonds stolen from the store, a Bin Hendi outlet. "The case is with police. We have no more information," a Bin Hendi official told Gulf News. He could not estimate the company's losses. Officials close to the investigation put the value of the stolen diamonds to be more than Dh50 million. Eisa Adam Ebrahim, Dubai Shopping Malls Group head and BurJuman general manager, said malls must upgrade their security to match the growing "sophistication" of criminals. Gold traders said while they were shocked at the robbery, Dubai remained a haven for trade.
