Robots.txt and denying search engines

Hello,

I own a domain (something.com) and I want google and other search engines to index all pages under this domain except one particular page (something.com/deny)

How do I achieve this using the robots.txt?

make a file robots.txt in the root of domain(public_html directory say)

add this line:

User-agent: *

Disallow: /somefile_folder_name

You can also use some online sites to make the process easy if you are new to this

Always check the robots.txt file created thus via google sitemaps->webmaster tools. Google tells you what its indexing based on robots.txt.
