Played the game for half an hour yesterday and I am impressed. The titular character John Rochard (pronounced Roh-shard) is one bad ass guy who is essentially a veteran miner who works for Skyrig Corp. His team gets lost within an asteroid when they go in search of a particular mine and is tasked with getting out of it. He is equipped with a G-lifter which can manipulate the objects such as grabbing and dropping crates, swing doors etc. Gravity may also be manipulated manually which when combined with the G-lifter can aid Rochard in grabbing heavier objects. There are several force fields in the game and I had come across 2 types during my playthrough - a matter force field, blue in color that blocks inanimate objects (like crates) and a bio force field, in red that blocks humans.

Looking forward to play the rest today.

Completed the game. Pretty short it was. Clocked 5 hours and 20 minutes. Impressive for a 2D platformer nonetheless. The G-lifter gets upgraded over the course of the game and so does Rochard's health. Story is okay and pretty much predictable. Soundtracks were good. 9 on 10 from me. That's enough of the 2D titles for now.

Will begin Reckoning tonight. RPG baby!

Will have to give this one a try. Not much a 2D platformer myself (its yesteryears stuff) , maybe this can change that.

Haha I am assuming as much.

But having started the game yesterday, I felt the visuals to be a letdown (cartoonish?) compared to Skyrim. This might just be temporary since I just played for the first couple of minutes. I recall how much time I used to waste simply staring at the gorgeous outdoors in Skyrim.
