Hi
Going to ditch my Netgear WNR2000 for a new router but i am confused which 1 to go for? Budget is strict below 1.5k and i need something better than this crap.....1 horrible router.......i have a mix of n and g devices at home so would a normal b/g router do?? which brand to go for as i only require a decent router for use in my first floor flat. pls suggest as with netgear dropping connections router resetting on its own and connectivity problems were something i don't want......since i don't do file transfers (just a occasional word document transfer from desktop to lappy) i do hope i can gt something decent vfm router.......have used netgear's old model b/g white one in office which is still working flawlessly so any brand would do......

thanks

Have you tried setting the router to n devices only and ignoring g devices ?? This will ensure that nothing is wrong with your router.

You could try only g devices and find out the result.

g devices will bring down performance of n devices. Overall performance will fall.

Use your old Netgear router for only b / g devices and Netgear WNR2000 for n devices only and i think this should solve the problem. Experts may comment on this scenario.
