Router for 1 gbps fiber broadband internet

I have recently upgraded to 1gbps plan and currently having n300 router which seriously limits the speeds. I am planning to purchase AC router with gigabit internet. Which wireless router I should purchase? My requirements are fast internet and good range nothing else. Though usb would be preferred.

Netgear R7000 is pretty good. I'm using this with 1gbps ACT. Routing speeds are almost 950-960mbps with latest official firmware.

Hi. Asus RT-AC860 is a good choice for both quality and aesthetics. If you really want a USB router, then the best would be Net-Dyn AC1200.
