hey all
im planning to buy a router for my home. range is required is max 100 ft.
i plan to use a bsnl broadband connection (ADSL) via wifi and have a ADSL modem for it. will it be helpful in setting up the wifi?
im planning to use a netgear for pc ..
plz suggest a router to get.
i dont know the price range of routers so cannot comment on budget.

PS - is there something called a wireless modem?

thanks

For basic needs go for the Buffalo one which is being sold by a resident dealer here for 1.1k. Its a good vfm device for the price. Wireless modem is nothing but a modem+wireless router in one device. If you already have a modem, then no need for that, moreover the Buffalo one is N150, which wont be the case with most budget wireless modems. You can also look for belkin N150 for 1.2k, but it has range problems registered by many TE members itself.
