Router Query

Hi,
I have a Airtel connection. Till now, I was using my old beetel modem with a TL-WR740N router. Beetel modem has conked off hence I was thinking of buying a new wifi router with inbuilt modem & use my existing router to increase connectivity in ground floor.

I had shortlisted these two -
1.TP-Link TD-W8951ND
2.TP-Link TD-W8901N (This one is also an Acess Point, price is same)

Can I use my old router (TL-WR740N v4.24) as a repeater or some other way with any of the two modem router to increase range in ground floor?

Yes, you can use WR740N as a repeater. To do so, navigate to Wireless - Wireless Settings - Check the "Enable WDS" box - Then enter SSID, Wireless MAC and password of your primary router.
