router settings : unable to access web services behind router

dear fellows

I have been facing a strange problem. I have configured my laptop to access office LAN through a wireless router. The router has been assigned IP of LAN and laptop gets IP through DHCP. DNS settings of LAN have been assigned to router. I am not able to access my office website on laptop, while i can access it through IP address. Probably seems a DNS issue but I cant fix it. Tried everything..any help ???

If your office website is not on the internet then you've got to edit the hosts file in your computer and add an entry like so -


officewebsite name ip address

eg

rashdk 192.168.1.5


The file can be found in windows/system32/drivers/etc/
