A new dual screen android smartphone is in town. Introducing the Russian made YotaPhone (name change request sent!). The Yotaphone is not a flip out dual display. Instead, it has two displays on either side of the the candy bar shaped device. Here's the twist, one display is LCD while the other is e-Ink.
YotaPhone

The YotaPhone is a new piece of hardware from Russia that will pack dual displays on either side of the device. The e-Ink display on one side will help reduce power consumption while using it, and thus improve battery life by as much as 50%. The phone packs decently powerful specifications.
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960
  • 1.5 GHz dual core Krait CPU
  • Adreno 225 GPU
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 4.3" HD (1280*720) LCD display
  • 32 or 64 GB internal storage
  • 12 MP front camera
  • HD front camera
  • 2,100 mAh battery
  • 9.9 mm thick, 140 grams weight
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

The display on the other side is an HD LCD display. Pretty neat. A dual core Krait CPU is decently powerful. Despite having dual displays, the phone is only 9.9 mm thick and weighs in at a decent 140 grams only. We wonder if the 2,100 mAh battery will suffice though. However, it is unlikely that you will be using both displays at the same time.

More details on pricing and release in February's MWC (Mobile World Congress).
