hello guys, would love to know that is it possible to run rx 7900 xtx with intel i7 running with MSI Z790 smoothly ?
or i7 would work smoothly only when pairing with rtx series and so on ?
open to suggestions too , in case u feel like to share , feel free
thank you :)

depends on which intel i7, if its a 12700k then maybe if playing on 4k, but 1440p probably not the best pairing I guess?
but if its 13th gen i7 and above then you are okay with whatever resolution you plan to play on

If you ahvent bought any cpu or gpu, consider going ryzen 7600 for budget, or ryzen 7800x3d / 9800x3d for big budget, the x3d cpus are the best gaming cpu in the planet right now

Z790 would imply 13700k or the 14700k. yes it will run just fine if you already have that combo.. otherwise go with the 9800x3d if you are playing on 1440p.

if you are doing 4k it doesn't matter too much as the gpu becomes the bigger bottleneck at 4k.

z790 also works with a 12th gen, not just 13th or 14th

Thank you so much guys for suggestions :) ,feel free to share any suggestions or ideas u feel like :)
actually yea got MSI Pro Z790-A Max Wifi mb with i7 14700K ,as u both guessed :)
also ,800W psu (i hope its enough to run the graphics card ? , since not into much of overclock and stuff) and my screen is just 60 hz 4k one ,haha ,feel free to laugh too :-D
bought screen for my work mainly and initially, so didnt care much about hz initially and since i bought it now , so planning to use it as long as it works fine i guess,
also idk how much of fun it will be to run game at 60hz ,haha
also, playing on windowed mode ,since full screen 43 inch is too much to handle
also playing on 4k isnt necessary for me, am happy scaling games down to 2k or so too,
also, Yea heard about amd too ,but i guess too late to switch now , haha , i should have discussed about it when was initially buying the cabinet :-|

You're very borderline on the PSU front. You'll be fine with no overclocking but with much less headroom. Which unit is it?

its a cooler master G800 80+ gold ,non modular ,
it's quite a power hungry combo, i hope your psu is one of the better ones...
ohh,
also am planning on replacing stock fans with noctua 140mm NF-A14 ippc ones in coming months (i dont mind a bit of fan noise)
so i guess my psu will be dying then ? :-|
